Alan Parsons project combines the best parts of prog-rock with the best elements of pop. This album has undertones of Pink Floyd, whom Parsons worked with as an engineer on Dark Side of the Moon & elements of pop, where he was influenced by the Beatles, with whom he had worked as an assistant engineer on Abbey Road/5().

The I Robot album came out at a very fortuitous time, unknown to anyone, as completely unplanned, the album (with a robot on its cover) hit record stores in the US the same week as Star Wars was released and suddenly robots were all the rage and the Project was the only album .

I Robot is the well praised sophomore release from the adventurous, 70s progressive rock group The Alan Parsons Project. It’s a concept album inessence, centered around the fictional rise of robots and the decline of man's reign on earth, and this theme is evident upon listening, as the opener ‘I Robot’ instantly transports you to a mechanical, apocalyptic soundscape with its pulsating, futuristic synth lines.

Excellent pressing of an excellent album. Great sound depth, it always impresses people, and probably the best Alan Parson Project album anyways, so if you are going to buy one album in this genre and from this band, this is the one to have in your collection!

“Day After Day” recalls some “relaxing” Pink Floyd tunes but it lacks originality. “Total Eclipse” is an infuriating song connected by the best instrumental track (from Alan Parsons career), from my point of view. I think this album could have been perfect without some of the “experimental” stuff and improving a .
